We're a Community Organisation in Middlesbrough
Set up in 2022, Fighting Chance offers funded classes and 1 to 1 sessions to help children/young adults who are struggling, through the art of kickboxing. Our work is funded by donations from institutions, businesses and individuals, both Local and National, so that all sessions are FREE to our users.
We provide the facilities and the trainers to enable children, young people and adults to learn the discipline and focus of a martial art. We particularly work with children and young people who have disengaged from school and mainstream services, to give them positive role models, self-confidence and an opportunity to evaluate alternative ways forward.
We're young and growing
Fighting Chance have the use of a gym in central Middlesbrough, which gives our users access to the latest training equipment in a safe environment.
We can be mobile too! We're reaching out to schools and associations in the area, as we can also bring the trainers and equipment to you. Even though we've set up quite recently, we already have Middlesbrough schools on board that we've been working with since September 2022.
There's more to Martial Arts than just fighting
It's fitness, it's mental health, it's community, it's a lifestyle, it's family, and it's about creating a bond with fellow students and coaches that you can't get anywhere else.
The art of kickboxing can help you get fit in a feel-good group environment and gain confidence, with a coach encouraging you to be the best YOU that you can be.
If you, or someone you know, would benefit from our services then do please get in touch to register your interest. Free sessions are currently available.
